We took the lead inside two minutes at Wolves' Comptom training ground but a hat-trick from Eusebio Bancessi secured maximum points for the home side.

Five of our squad travelled to Norway with the first team for last week's Europa League group match at Tromso IL - Jordan Archer, Ryan Fredericks, Kenny McEvoy and Shaq Coulthirst were all on the bench - while Wolves called on Premier League experience in the shape of goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, Kevin Foley and George Elokobi

We couldn't have asked for a better start when the impressive Nabil Bentaleb sent McEvoy away down the right and his low cross was turned into his own net by defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell.

Wolves struck back quickly though as Lee Evans crossed from the left and the ball found Bancessi at the far post to convert from six yards.

Jordan Archer saved well from Evans but Wolves went ahead in the 20th minute following a scramble from a corner, Bancessi eventually offered the easiest of tasks to slot home for 2-1.

Fredericks produced another progressive display from right-back and he was next to take aim from 20 yards, a comfortable save for Hennessey before Jake Cassidy had the final effort of note in the first half, a 20-yarder that flew a yard wide.

Wolves were straight on the front foot in the second half as Archer saved well from Jack Price and Dominic Ball did well to clear after David Davis broke from deep.

The picture changed in the space of a minute.

We had a shooting chance via a free-kick on the edge of the box that Bentaleb curled over, only for Wolves to score in their next attack.

Archer did well to parry away Cassidy's piledriver, Fredericks and Evans chased the rebound, went over together and referee Mr Radford pointed to the penalty spot. Bancessi made no mistake from 12 yards to claim his hat-trick and make it 3-1.

The game opened up as we looked to push on and Wolves had a number of half-chances, the pick a glancing header from Elokobi on 64 minutes that Archer did well to grasp to his right.

We kept going until the end as Ebanks-Landell did well to clear McEvoy's cross, Giancarlo Gallifuoco's header was collected by Hennessey, Souleymane Coulibaly's shot was deflected wide and finally, in added time, Cameron Lancaster's thumper cannoned back off the post.
