Tom Huddlestone and Wayne Routledge were both involved in goals as England Under-21s beat Norway 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Winger Wayne - currently on loan at Portsmouth - helped England forge ahead again after Norway had equalised Peter Whittingham's opener with a darting run and pass to set up David Bentley for 2-1 at Reading.

Six minutes later midfielder Tom fired the ball across goal where Bentley controlled and finished for his second and England's third.

Tom played the full 90 minutes while Wayne was replaced by Izale McLeod after 72 minutes.

Meanwhile, Mark Yeates was substituted in the final minute as the Republic of Ireland Under-21s beat Sweden 1-0 at Drogheda.
