All the action from Wednesday night's Premier Academy League play-off semi-final at the Stadium of Light.

The lads will now face Arsenal in the PAL final at White Hart Lane this Sunday, May 17, kick-off to be confirmed.


89.40: CLOSE - SUNDERLAND. Bagnall's cross into the mix, ball fell to Kay, 12 yards out, dragged shot just wide.

88.38: WOODWORK - SUNDERLAND. Heart in mouth time as Hourihane played a corner out to Liam Noble, 25 yards out, controlled and curled onto the crossbar.

82.23: SAVE - MISIEWICZ. Great chance as well. Smith made fully 60 yards to get on the overlap for Townsend, cross evaded Obika but fell to Parrett, 12 yards out, smashed the ball on target but straight at the keeper, who somehow kept it out.

78.55: CHANCE - SPURS. Townsend's deep corner found Rose at the far post, free header, hit the side-netting.

72.57: PENALTY APPEAL - SPURS. Obika got to the left byline and crossed for Mason, Kay appeared to go through him to get to the ball, appeals waved away.

70.40: GOAL - SUNDERLAND. Ryan Noble hammered penalty into top right corner.

70.10: PENALTY - SUNDERLAND. Byrne penalised for a push in the back on Reed as they went up for Hourihane's cross. Looked harsh.

61.44: CHANCE - SUNDERLAND. Hourihane dribbled into the box, left edge, Ryan Noble took over and drilled wide from 16 yards.

57.19: CHANCE - SUNDERLAND. Hourihane onto Smith's clearing header and picked out Wood in the box, could have taken it first time but opted to switch to left foot, ended up toe-poking straight at Jansson.

51.32: CHANCE - SPURS. Mason wide left to Rose, he hit a shot across goal that Obika got to at the near post but turned over from six yards.

8.04pm: The second half has kicked-off.

43.01: GOAL - SPURS. Classic breakaway goal. Smith intercepted Reed's pass on the edge of our box, found Townsend, he carried for 30 yards before squaring for Obika, left side of box. Obika could have taken the shot on but opted to play back for Townsend, who found the bottom corner from 20 yards.

38.35: GOAL - SPURS. Mason drilled into the left corner from the spot with Misiewicz diving the other way.

38.10: PENALTY - SPURS. Mason's free-kick handled by Sunderland's defensive wall. Looked a penalty.

28.29: CLOSE - SPURS. Parrett and Townsend involved before Rose took over, worked a yard onto his left foot and curled just wide from 25 yards.

20.01: SAVE - JANSSON. Liam Noble took a quick free-kick to O'Mahoney, time to size up his shot, right side of box, Jansson out quickly to block with legs.

18.55: CHANCE - SUNDERLAND. Liam Noble's inswinging corner found Ryan Noble in front of goal, he failed to connect, ball fell to O'Mahoney who drilled wide.

18.27: CHANCE - SUNDERLAND. Ryan Noble broke into the box left of centre, should have squared earlier and when he did, Byrne got back to slide clear.

12.55: SAVE - MISIEWICZ. Townsend tormented Adams down our right, deep cross found Rose climbing well at the far post, headed towards near post, Misiewicz tipped wide.

10.29: SAVE - MISIEWICZ. Townsend burst from the right onto Mason's pass, Misiewicz slid out to meet him and timed it right, deflecting ball out for a corner.

3.03: CLOSE - SPURS. Parrett strode forward centrally before rolling to Mason, 25-yard curler just wide with Misiewicz beaten.
