Laste Dombaxe made quite an impression on his debut as our Under-18s beat Norwich City 2-0 in the Premier Academy League on Saturday.
The Under-16s midfielder entered the fray as a substitute in the 65th minute and took just five minutes to help set-up the clinching goal for Kudus Oyenuga (pictured).
The hard-earned victory made it five wins and a draw in their last six matches in the PAL.
"It was a great result for us," said coach Alex Inglethorpe. "The pitch had dried out, the surface was lively and we had a young team out, so we were always up against it physically.
"The lads had to dig deep in the first 25 minutes but we got into the game and created a couple of chances, Kudus Oyenuga denied by the goalkeeper.
"I thought we were excellent in the second half. We were inventive, showed great movement and were more fluid in our play.
"We took the lead after 65 minutes, a good combination between Jake Nicholson and Paul McBride with Paul providing a clever assist for Jake to score.
"Laste Dombaxe then came on and he produced an exquisite pass for Harry Kane, Harry went around the keeper and did the right thing, unselfishly squaring it for Kudus to tap in.
"It was Laste's first appearance for the Under-18s and he did well for us."
