Our Under-18s enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town in the FA Premier Academy League on Saturday.

Ryan Mason and Alex Olsen (pictured right) were on target as the lads made it three unbeaten at the start of the league campaign.

Both goals came via fine defensive play. The first, on 25 minutes, saw Callum Butcher win possession and stride forward, beat a defender on the right and cross for Mason to tuck home.

The second, 10 minutes later, came via Stephen Caulker's interception and that sparked a five-man move which culminated in Dean Parrett driving into the box and squaring for Olsen to slide in.

"We played some really good possession football," reflected coach Alex Inglethorpe. "It was a good game for us in that Ipswich tried to play as well.

"If we set out to have more possession than our opponents then we did that in a big, big way in the first half. We were patient with the ball and frustrated them by winning back possession quite quickly.

"It was a good win and nice to get off the mark."

Spurs U18s: Jansson, Smith, Byrne, Kasim, C Butcher, Caulker, Parrett, Olsen, Mason, Obika. Unused subs: Butler, Bostock, Ekim, Shehu, Asajile.
