Our Under-18s advanced to the semi-finals of the Tournoi International de Monthey after a 1-1 draw with Olympique Marseille in Friday night's final group game.
The result means Alex Inglethorpe's side qualify for the last four having finished second in their group to Hajduk Split on goal difference.
The lads now take on Brazilian giants Flamengo, who many see as the favourites for this tournament, on Saturday evening.
John Bostock (pictured), who has looked impressive so far on this trip, opened the scoring early on direct from a free-kick against Marseille.
But despite us dominating the game and creating a host of chances, the French side managed to find an equaliser 10 minutes from time and prevent us advancing as group winners.
Coach Alex said: "I don't think I've ever seen one side control a game and create as many chances as we did and not win.
"It was a combination of us not taking those chances and some good defending from the opposition.
"But it was very similar to the Hajduk game on Thursday in the respect that Marseille scored against the run of play with possibly their only chance of the game.
"And ironically enough, Marseille missed another chance to score in the last five minutes that would have taken them through.
"But we're through, that's the most important thing, and we now face a Flamengo team who are probably favourites for the tournament."
