WBA U18s vs Spurs - Kieran's preview

Posted on 27 January 2015  - 16:03

Our Under-18s will try again to play their away match at West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday afternoon.

The original game, held at Albion’s training ground back in November, was abandoned after 59 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch.

Ismail Azzaoui had fired us ahead just seconds earlier, but heavy rainfall on the day saw the referee call an early halt to proceedings.

The Barclays Under-18 Premier League match will be replayed on Wednesday at 12noon, with Under-18s Coach Kieran McKenna keen on a return to winning ways after Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Aston Villa.

“The games are coming thick and fast, so there are lots of opportunities for the boys to play,” he said. “The team might change again from Saturday, so it’s a good chance for players to impress.

“Obviously we’ve been to West Brom already when unfortunately the game was abandoned, so hopefully we’ll get the full 90 minutes in this time!”
