We lost by the odd goal in seven against Chelsea last time out – a result not necessarily reflective of the spirit and character shown by our players.
As we get set to take on the Canaries at their Colney Training Centre on Saturday, kick-off 12noon, Under-18s Coach Kieran wants to see more of that total commitment from the boys against a side he believes will share our desire to put on a good, attacking performance.
“When you go up to Norwich they usually try to play good football as well so obviously they’ll be well prepared and try to impose themselves on the game, but for us it’s all about what we do,” he said.
“It’s what we work on all throughout the week and again on Saturday our focus will be on our performance, so hopefully we’ll get the rewards from that.
“It was disappointing to lose last week as it always is when you lose but there were a lot of pleasing aspects of that match in terms of the performance and the character we showed, so we’ll look to transfer that into this weekend.
“We’ll look to excel individually with a good team performance and hopefully that will lead to the boys getting three points.”
