Arsenal v Spurs U18s - Kieran's preview

Posted on 22 September 2015  - 15:02

Kieran McKenna is looking for an improved performance from our Under-18s when they travel to Arsenal on Wednesday morning (September 23).

While the two clubs meet at senior level in the Capital One Cup in the evening, we’ll face the Gunners in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League at their training ground in an 11am kick-off.

After the disappointment of a 4-1 home defeat to Reading at the weekend, Under-18s Coach Kieran is glad the boys have an opportunity to respond so quickly and anticipates a hotly-contested fixture against our North London rivals.

“It’s good to have the game so close to the Reading match to be honest,” he said. “It means that, although we’ll reflect on Saturday’s game, we don’t have too long to linger on it and we’ll look to move on very quickly with a derby game, so it’s ideal in that respect.

“It goes without saying, though, that matches between Tottenham and Arsenal are usually feisty so our boys will be looking to make an impression and hopefully put on a good performance.”
