Tunnel To Towers — An appeal to Spurs fans who lost loved ones on 9/11
September 25th 2005 is an important date for Spurs fans Michael Loberman and Gareth Morgan, as they will be participating in the Tunnel To Towers Run in New York City.
The run, which first took place in 2002, recreates the footsteps of Fireman Stephen Siller who, on September 11th 2001, ran through the Brooklyn/Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Centre. Stephen was fully weighed down with his fire fighting equipment and attempting to get there as quick as he could following the attacks on the Twin Towers. Unfortunately Stephen Siller died that morning saving others.
Michael and Gareth are aware that some of those that died that day were Spurs fans. With the Club's support, they would like to take Spurs shirts to New York and lay them at one of the many memorials in the City, each one with the name of supporters who lost their lives on that day on the back of the shirt. If you are interested in having a Spurs shirt laid on a loved ones behalf, please contact Michael and Gareth at firstname.lastname@example.org
(note it is .co.uk not .com).
