Tromso IL vs Spurs - Andre's preview

Posted on 28 November 2013  - 14:05

Andre Villas-Boas is determined to bounce back from Sunday’s loss at City in the best possible way – victory over Tromso IL in the Europa League tonight to secure top spot in Group K.

We’ve travelled to Norway for a 6pm kick-off UK time at the Alfheim Stadium with four wins out of four so far in Group K.

“We want to finish the job as soon as possible, and that means being first in the group,” said Andre. “We’re in a wonderful position to achieve that.

“We understand the conditions can be difficult and the weather can change but hopefully the players can adapt to the artificial pitch and we can get first place in the bag.”

Andre is well aware of the need to recover as quickly as possible from the result at the Etihad.

“We all want to bounce back and we owe the fans a response – a sense of responsibility, belief and to honour the badge we carry,” he said.

“We all embrace that, from the staff to the players and we want to give that response.”

We are on 12 points and victory will guarantee first place. If we fail to win, Anji, currently on seven points, could take it to the final round of matches.

We take on Anji at the Lane on Thursday December, 12 – tickets available here...
