Ledley King, Paul Robinson and Jermaine Jenas all played as England beat Poland 2-1 to top World Cup qualifying Group Six on Wednesday night.

Ledley King, Paul Robinson and Jermaine Jenas all played as England beat Poland 2-1 to top World Cup qualifying Group Six on Wednesday night.

Spurs skipper and central defender Ledley was deployed in the holding midfield role and caught the eye with a typically assured display at Old Trafford.

He played the full 90 minutes as did goalkeeper Paul with Jermaine coming on for Michael Owen after 83 minutes
Jermain Defoe was an unused substitute.

Grzegorz Rasiak played the full 90 minutes for Poland as goals from Michael Owen and Frank Lampard secured the victory.
