Tom Huddlestone, Wayne Routledge and Ben Alnwick were unused substitutes in England's 2-2 draw against Italy in the European U21 Championship in Holland on Thursday night.

David Nugent and Leroy Lita put England 2-0 up in their second group match at the Gelredome, Arnhem, only for the Italians to hit back with goals from Giorgio Chiellini and Alberto Aquilani either side of the break.

The Spurs trio will hope to be involved in the final group match against Serbia on Sunday when a win will see Stuart Pearce's lads through to the semi-finals. Serbia are already through to the last four with two wins in two.
