Trio in England squad

Jermain Defoe celebrated his equaliser against Liverpool on Saturday with a call into the England squad for Wednesday's friendly against Ukraine.

The livewire striker just missed out on Euro 2004 but finds himself in Sven Goran Eriksson's first squad after the championships.

Paul Robinson and Ledley King - who both made the final cut for Portugal in the summer - are also named in a 24-man squad.
