For Christian, it was his first match practice since limping out of his comeback game against West Ham at the end of October with a knee ligament strain and he played for an hour against QPR. Simon completed the full 90 minutes after playing for an hour in an in-house game on Friday, while Bobby was given a one-hour run-out after missing three weeks with an Achilles injury.
"It will take a while for Christian to be ready but, the fact is, he has just played for 60 minutes in a private game," commented David Pleat afterwards.
"It is an opportunity to see one or two things, it is a second game for Simon, but his first against another club side. It was also a chance for Bobby Zamora to play and he looks fit.
"Obviously, we have got lots to think about over the Christmas period because we have got one or two suspensions."
Christian Ziege, Simon Davies and Bobby Zamora all featured in a private training ground game against Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.
