Trio earn Three Lions call

Harry Kane, Andros Townsend and Kyle Walker have been named in the England national squad for the forthcoming matches against Lithuania and Italy.

It’s a first call-up to the senior Three Lions ranks for in-form striker Harry, having previously impressed for England Under-21s.

Winger Andros currently has six senior caps and two goals to his name, while right-back Kyle makes his return to the international fold having previously earned 10 caps.

Roy Hodgson’s men host Lithuania on Friday, March 27, in a European Championship qualifier before travelling to Italy for a friendly on Tuesday, March 31.

In addition, Eric Dier, Tom Carroll – currently on loan at Swansea City – and Alex Pritchard – currently on loan at Brentford – have been named in the England Under-21s squad for matches against Czech Republic and Germany, while the England Under-20s squad to face Mexico and USA next week includes defender Dominic Ball – currently on loan at Cambridge United.

Meanwhile, young midfielder Harry Winks has been named in the England Under-19s squad for their upcoming European Under-19 Championship Elite Round qualifiers in France. They face matches against Les Bleus, Azerbaijan and Denmark.

Also, defensive midfielder Luke Amos has been handed his first call-up to the England Under-18s squad for consecutive matches against Switzerland later this month. He’ll be joined in the group by right-back Kyle Walker-Peters and central midfielder Josh Onomah.
