Treatment Table

Posted on 14 September 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A setback for Michael Carrick reports physio Geoff Scott in our regular fitness bulletin...

Michael Carrick
Michael has been a bit unfortunate in that he has suffered from a bit of patella tendonitis. He got back into training and unfortunately rolled his ankle, has sustained a sprain and will be out for a period of time. He is having a scan and we will know more after that.

Sean Davis
Sean sustained a knee problem about ten days ago now. He's still having treatment and hasn't began running yet. His problem is patella tendonitis, but we have caught it in the early stages and we hope to have him back in the playing squad in the next fortnight.

Jamie Slabber
He is still recovering from shoulder surgery and has a review with the specialist in one month's time. At this point we hope he will get the all clear to resume full training. At the moment he is running well and maintaining a high level of fitness, shooting, passing - but everything he does is non-contact.

Thimothee Atouba (knee)
Thimothee played 90 minutes for Cameroon over the international break, which was an early comeback for the type of injury he had. He played for us and was slightly uncomfortable in the end, but he continues to train normally and will be available for Sunday's match.

Dean Marney (Achilles)
Dean Marney is running reasonably well but, because he had problems with his injury early on, his progress has been a bit slower and he has yet to take part in full training. He will hopefully later this week.

Pedro Mendes
He got a kick to his right foot in the game at the weekend and it is something we are hoping to settle down before the next game. He won't be able to train for a couple of days.

Dean Richards (ear infection)
He is having specialised treatment at the moment and appears to be progressing well.

Mauricio Taricco
Tano twisted his ankle in the last reserve match and is now doing very well. A scan shows not too much of a significant injury and he should return to training later this week.

Owen Price
He has had a troubled start to the season with a couple of niggles. Unfortunately at the moment he is suffering with reasonably serious shin splints, which are preventing him from running at the moment and it looks like he will be out for a month or so. He is a young player and we are looking after him to ensure his problems have adequate time to heal.

Edson Silva
He suffered a shoulder sprain but is doing very well and will be back in training on Wednesday.
