Travel information - temporary restrictions to White Hart Lane station

Posted on 16 September 2015  - 09:00

We regret to inform supporters that, due to safety concerns, London Overground and TfL have taken the decision to close post-match access to the southbound platform of White Hart Lane station for our matches against Crystal Palace on September 20 and Manchester City on September 26.

Southbound rail services from Enfield Town and Cheshunt will not call at Silver Street, White Hart Lane and Bruce Grove after 15:00 until approximately 17:30 for this Sunday’s fixture.

Following an urgent meeting with London Overground yesterday (Tuesday), we are told this is to alleviate overcrowding on the southbound (London) platform during the period of Network Rail planned engineering works affecting both matches.

The advertised timetable will run as scheduled in both directions before kick-off and in the northbound (Enfield Town/Cheshunt) direction post-match.

Supporters are advised to use Northumberland Park station if possible for connections to Tottenham Hale (Victoria Line) and London Liverpool Street (via Stratford). Alternatively supporters who are able to do so may wish to walk to Seven Sisters station for the London Underground Victoria Line service, which is approximately 2.5km (20 minutes’ walk) from the stadium straight down Tottenham High Road.

Please be aware that the planned Network Rail engineering work means there is no service from Liverpool Street to Seven Sisters and will also affect and increase journey times on the Northumberland Park Abellio Greater Anglia route for both matches.

The Victoria Line will operate a normal service for both games.

Please check before you travel and leave additional time.

Naturally the Club is disappointed that London Overground has taken a decision that has such an impact on supporters travel plans but understand that the safety of all passengers is the priority.

We will continue to liaise with London Overground as it works to increase resources to deliver the match day services provided by the previous operator and keep supporters updated.
