We were greeted by a huge contingent of Spurs fans at the hotel after flying out overnight from Heathrow.
Mauricio will now prepare the players for Wednesday night's AIA Cup encounter against Malaysia XI at the Shah Alam Stadium (8.45pm local time) - a team drawn from players in the Malaysia Premier League - before heading to Australia and a match against Sydney FC at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday (8pm).
That preparation starts with an open training session at the Shah Alam Stadium this evening.
"We're all happy to be here because the energy from our supporters in Malaysia is fantastic," said Mauricio. "I think it will be a tough game against Malaysia but we need to enjoy it and all the players may have a chance to play."
Christian added: "The weather is certainly a bit different from what I'm used to in Denmark! I don't think I've been so far away from home but to come here and see so many Spurs fans is incredible. We're all excited to come and play out here."
