We flew overnight from Kuala Lumpur, touching down in Sydney at 11.30am local time and were greeted by over 200 supporters at Sydney Airport, many from our fantastic official supporters' club in Australia, OzSpurs.
"There were so many fans at the airport and the reception was amazing," said Harry Kane. "As
I said in Malaysia, you just don't realise how much support we have all
over the world and that's why we're really excited to be here."
After the short journey to the hotel, Mauricio Pochettino, Ryan Mason and Harry attended a press conference alongside Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold, players Jacques Faty and Sebastian Ryall and stakeholders from this AIA Cup encounter to be staged at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday (8pm local time).
The representatives were led into the press conference by Aboriginal representative Clarence, who gave the teams a traditional welcome playing the Digderidoo. "We extend our hand in friendship, let's walk together as brothers," he said.
Mauricio said: "It's my first time in Sydney, a fantastic city, we've only been here a couple of hours but we're all excited to be here."
Ryan added: "This is a great opportunity for us to come to Sydney and hopefully we'll put on a show for our fans."
