John Gorman expects West Brom to be a tough nut to crack in Sunday's Premiership clash.
Pre-season favourites for relegation, the Baggies have only been put to the sword once, at Arsenal, and have only lost by more than one goal once in the last two months.
Famed for their 1-0 wins - 15 to gain promotion alongside 26 clean sheets last season - Gary Megson's men did it again against Middlesbrough to climb out of the bottom three last weekend.
"They will be a tough team," said assistant boss John. "If you look at their games, they've all been very tight and you have to break them down. They are good at that.
"If they win it's by one goal and they make it difficult. They play a bit as well, to their credit, but they will be a tough nut to crack. We'll have to be on our game, like we were against Leeds United.
"Look at the game at Birmingham. It was disappointing but they made life very difficult for us.
"They have made it into the Premiership and want to stay there so they will do everything they can to do that.
"It wasn't pretty and we were disappointed with how we played but now we want to bounce back at home, like we did against Leeds."
