The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is giving young females in Barnet the chance to keep fit and active using more than just football!

With funding from the London Youth Offer, a £60 million initiative from the Mayor of London and Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and the Barnet South School Sports Partnership have formed ‘Tottenham Hotwheels’ - a girls only skating group.

The sessions are delivered weekly by Karen Hills (THF Women’s and Girls Officer) and Emma Butters, who have both passed their Level 2 award in coaching BRSF Generic Roller Skating.

Sessions run after school for Key Stage 4 girls (14yrs-16yrs) at Hendon High School, Henrietta Barnett School, Hampstead School, and St Mary’s School in Barnet using the Basic Skate Smart criteria.

With the help of the London Youth Offer, the group have purchased 30 pairs of skates and new safety equipment as they look to continue to teach local children the basic skills of skating.
