Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Andy Reid was named Young Player of the Year at the prestigious Eircom/FAI Awards on Sunday night.

The winger who joined us from Nottingham Forest on deadline day and made his debut against Portsmouth on Saturday picked up his award at the Citywest Hotel, Saggart, Co Dublin. The event was televised live in Ireland.

Spurs coach and Ireland's assistant manager Chris Hughton told us from the awards: "From a Tottenham point of view it's wonderful news because Andy is a player we've just bought, this award is voted for by the football writers in Ireland and it shows what high esteem Andy is thought of over here."

Completing a Spurs double on the night, Robbie Keane's winner in a friendly against Holland in June was named International Goal of the Season.

Andy was also on the shortlist with his curler in a World Cup qualifier against Cyprus in September in an award voted for by the public.

Chris added: "Andy's goal against Cyprus was special shows it shows how much people thought of Robbie's."
