TOM SIGNS NEW CONTRACT

The Club is delighted to announce that Tom Huddlestone has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract, effective January 1, which sees him at the Club until 2011.

The Club is delighted to announce that Tom Huddlestone has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract, effective January 1, which sees him at the Club until 2011.The young midfielder, 20 on Thursday, has been in outstanding form of late, starting 14 of our last 19 games and scoring three goals. He recently volleyed home a spectacular first Premiership goal at Manchester City and continues to be a regular for England Under-21s, earning 13 caps to date.

Manager Martin Jol commented: "Tom is one of the biggest talents in the English game and this is great news, both for the Club, that such a quality player has signed a long-term contract, and for Tom, who as a young player, can play alongside experienced internationals who will help him continue to fulfil his potential."

Tom Huddlestone said: "I am thoroughly enjoying my football at Spurs and the way things are going. I am delighted with my new contract and I'm really looking forward to playing a part in the team doing well."
