Tom: Reds after revenge

Tom Huddlestone expects Liverpool to be on a mission in tonight's Carling Cup clash at the Lane.

The teams meet in a fourth round encounter just 10 days after we beat the current joint-leaders in a Premier League match on home soil.

That remains Liverpool's only defeat in 19 games in all competitions this season.

"They lost their unbeaten record here and they will be after revenge for that," reasoned in-form midfielder Tom. "We have to try and put in another good performance.

"Tottenham and Liverpool are traditionally always very good in cup competitions, so I'm sure it will be a good contest. The night games at Tottenham are always special and hopefully we'll get a similar result against them as we did in the league.

"It was a great experience to get to the final and win at Wembley last season and you certainly get the hunger to do it again. We have a young squad but everyone now knows what special occasions they are and we'll all be fighting to get back on that stage."
