The newly-promoted Blades underlined their ability and desire to compete in the top flight with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool in their opener on Saturday.
Tonight is their first away game back in the Premiership with an 8pm kick-off at the Lane.
Midfielder Tom is one of a few players in our ranks to have come up against Neil Warnock's men in recent times having fought out a goalless draw during his loan at Wolves last season.
There will be a few familiar faces for Tom as well - seven of the line-up from that November draw at Molineux started against Liverpool.
"One thing for sure is that will have 11 players who will give 110 per cent every time they pull on the shirt," said Tom.
"They did well to get out of the Championship where work rate is one of the key elements you need, so they will be well-drilled in that department.
"They also have players going forward who will stick the goals away given the chance and we have to be wary of that.
"They might have been nervous before their first Premiership game in a number of years against one of the biggest clubs around in Liverpool on Saturday. Their confidence will probably be sky-high having gained a draw."
