The Ligue 1 side arrive at White Hart Lane determined to leapfrog Anderlecht into the qualification places in the final round of matches in Group J.
We’ve already secured our spot in the round of 32 but midfielder Tom, a second half substitute in our 1-0 victory away to Qarabag a fortnight ago, expects a real battle for the last remaining points at this stage of the competition.
“They’re a good side and they’re a team you’d expect to see in the Champions League,” he said.
“We know about the quality they’ve got so they’re going to be a dangerous side, but it should be a good test for us.
“I remember from the away game that they had a lot of pace, some sharp wingers and they’ll obviously be going all-out for the win but for us it doesn’t matter if we’re through already or not – whoever we play we’re determined to win and that’s what we’ll be trying to do on Thursday.”
Although he’s refusing to look beyond Monaco at present, Tom has underlined how the players are keen to enjoy an extended run in Europe when the knockout stages get underway in the New Year.
“At the start of the season we set out to win every competition we’re in,” he said. “In terms of the Europa League, we’re through now so that was the first goal but we’ll be looking to carry on winning games in the next rounds as well. It’s a competition we all want to do well in.”
