Tom Huddlestone knows we need to maintain our character and determination in order to go into the up-coming international break with maximum points.
We face Birmingham City at The Lane on Saturday with the chance to make it four wins from our first four Premier League games of the season.
The midfielder believes we face a tough test against Alex McLeish's newly promoted side, who have themselves begun the campaign in positive fashion.
But Tom also feels that we should have every confidence when playing in front of our own fans.
He said: "We're showing a new determination and character this season, which we hope will continue.
"We've got a fairly settled team at the moment, we're all getting to know each other's games better and we're all pulling in the same direction.
"Considering the start to the season we had last year, if we can get to 12 points from four games going into the international break, it will be special."
He continued: "I watched Birmingham's game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on the first day of the season and they maybe deserved a point out of that. If they can go there and do well, they can go anywhere and do well.
"But at White Hart Lane we thoroughly expect to beat anyone on our day, as long as we perform to our potential."
Tom opened his goalscoring account for the season in our 5-1 Carling Cup second round win at Doncaster earlier this week, putting the icing on an impressive start to the season for the big man.
"It's been a good start to the season for myself and the team collectively," he added. "I'd been due a goal - that was my first this year - and hopefully I can chip in with a few more."
