Everyone knows Sonny’s smile lights up Hotspur Way every day but now he's smiling on and off the pitch after scoring his fifth goal of the season to secure a crucial win in the Champions League in Moscow on Tuesday.
That was just three days after grabbing both goals in the 2-1 win at Middlesbrough.
Harry Kane eluded to Son’s determination after his recent double at Stoke. “Talking to him, he’s perhaps a little disappointed with his own performances last season and it’s about how to recover - and he’s been doing everything to do that.”
Speaking this week, Toby added: “We’re all happy for Sonny because he’s a very good lad, we see his quality on the training ground and whatever we do in training, small-sided games, whatever, he’s always one of the best.
“I’m happy that form is coming through for him in the Premier League and everything is going well.
“He is always dangerous on the ball and always an option. I’ve looked for him a few times. He makes the opponents a little scared and that’s why we love him so much! He dribbles, he shoots with both feet and almost always on target.
“He’s been brilliant and hopefully he’ll maintain his level.”
