The Club has officially taken up the 10:10 challenge by committing to cut carbon emissions 10 per cent by 2010 - and we'd like you to join us.

10:10 is a straightforward idea and reducing your carbon footprint isn't as hard as you'd think and we will do our best to help you.

This week's tip - only heat the water you need!

As a nation we drink around 165 million cups of tea and 70 million cups of coffee everyday, and 67% of people in Britain overfill the kettle each time they use it.

If everyone boiled only the water they needed, instead of filling the kettle every time, we could save enough electricity to run all the street lighting in the UK.

CLICK HERE for a downloadable 10:10 10-point checklist that you can use to guide you through the 10% cut process. Simply print it off and stick on your fridge to remind you of the simple ways to tackle your 10%!

Remember 10:10 is about getting involved and doing whatever you can to help make a big difference.
