Spurs signed up as a launch partner for 10:10 back in September and in doing so committed to attempting to cut carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.

The more people that get on board with 10:10 the better and it's not as difficult as you think. Simple changes can make a difference and we'd like you to join the campaign, so here's our latest tip!

This week's tip - Use a Water Butt

Using a water butt in your garden over the summer is a great way to save water, especially as rainwater is natural and free if you can catch it.

There's no carbon cost in transporting it to your water butt and many gardeners actually claim it's even better for the plants than tap water.

Most people will use it for watering the garden, but it can also be used to clean the car and other uses that do not require mains quality water, saving thousands of litres of water every year and saving you money on water bills.
