The more people that get on board with 10:10 the better and it's not as difficult as you think.

This week's tip - Buy in bulk

The UK produces 434m tonnes of waste each year - enough waste to fill the Albert Hall every two hours!

Households produce almost 30m tonnes of waste on average each year and 73% of this goes to landfill. Last year there was an unprecedented reduction in the proportion of waste being sent to landfill, but there's still more that could be done.

One way to reduce waste is to simply avoid buying products that are packaged for single use. Instead, buy in bulk and transfer the products to your own reusable containers or buy items that have less or only the necessary amount of packaging.

When you buy more you generally save money in proportion to the amount you buy and you'll also be doing your part to help the environment.
