Big Sol announced his decision to walk out of the Lane at the weekend.
It was a disappointing end to a long, drawn out affair but David, our executive vice-chairman, insists we are already looking at strengthening the position.
He believes it is time to look forward, not back.
David said: “I’ve spoken to Glenn, there are a number of options we’ll be looking at, a number of situations in mind to cover the position.
“There are six or seven offers we’ve put out for different players throughout the UK and Europe. We will have to see where the balls fall down and how that pans out.
“It will be an interesting summer and hopefully a successful year.
“Of course, it will be without Sol Campbell but I still think we will be successful during the course of next season. Sol will be missed but the club will move on.”
David reiterated that his vision of Spurs was all about the team ethic.
He insisted: “We are looking forward and I think I’ve made this clear in all my actions — we are building a team here at Spurs, a complete team from top to bottom.
“That is from chairman, vice-chairman to the manager to everyone involved in the club. That includes players, everyone.
“In a way anyone who is not prepared to play absolutely at that team game and absolutely has the club at heart, and I mean the club rather than their own pockets, frankly the club will do better to make sure it has the right team players.
“That’s where we’re heading and hopefully that will pay dividends for the club next season because that is what will make next season very exciting indeed.”
David Buchler is determined for the club to start looking ahead again after the Sol Campbell saga.
