Time is right for Luka

Luka Modric believes it's time to make our mark at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The team is preparing for massive double-header against United in the Premier League and then Inter Milan at the Lane in the Champions League on Tuesday.

We're hardly the only team to struggle for wins at the home of the 11-times Premier League champions over recent seasons, with a couple of draws (2004-05, 05-06) the highlights.

It took two late goals to beat us last season after Ledley King had levelled Ryan Giggs' opener.

But Luka, skipper last time out against Everton, feels it's time to put that record straight.

"We're ready, why not?" said Luka, who scored when we looked to be on our way at 2-0 up at Old Trafford in April, 2009, only for things to take a drastic turn via a penalty decision and we ended up losing 5-2.

"We showed against Inter in the second half that we can compete with the best teams in the world and United is certainly one of the best teams in the world.

"But why not go there and try to win? I know Tottenham haven't won at Old Trafford for a long time, so why not now?

"It's the best stage to play, the best stadium and it will be a great game for us. I hope we can do something there."
