That was far from the case at Old Trafford last weekend but we go from facing all-conquering Manchester United to the bottom of the Premiership and a Bradford City outfit fighting for survival.
Sherwood stated: “People are expecting us to get a result at Bradford whereas perhaps, if they were being realistic, they weren’t at Old Trafford. That’s why it might be more difficult for us. The pressure is on us this time.”
The midfielder insisted that he has not been affected by our failure to win on our travels this term but conceded that the more people talk about it, the harder it was going to become to break that away duck.
“Fans will expect us to win and it would be nice just to get it out of the way,” he said. “I don’t feel it has affected me personally and I just go out there and try to win the game.
“I suppose the more people talk about it the more it affects us but hopefully we can put it to bed on Saturday.
“I thought last year we dominated up there and were unlucky not to be two or three up before they equalised.
“That’s what happens when you are 1-0 up, teams always have a chance of getting back into the game. We know it will be difficult and they’ve got some decent acquisitions since last season.”
