The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust (THST) provided six supporters with the chance to watch Spurs in this season's Carling Cup Final, raising funds for the Club's international charity partner in the process.
THST decided to distribute the six tickets to Spurs fans that had been unable to purchase a ticket for the Cup Final. Members were drawn by ballot and asked to correctly answer a Spurs-related quiz question to be on the shortlist for a ticket.
The tickets were allocated to the THST by Supporters Direct, the umbrella body for Trusts, to be used for the benefit of its members.
THST paid 50% face value for the tickets from Supporters Direct, and sold at full price in order to raise funds to support the Club's work with SOS Children's Villages.
Bernie Kingsley, THST chairman, presented a cheque for £198 to Tottenham Hotspur Chairman Daniel Levy at a meeting between the respective Boards this month.
Elizabeth Rodgers of SOS Children's Villages said, "On behalf of SOS Children's Villages I would like to thank the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust for their donation. This money will be used in support of our work with Tottenham Hotspur in South Africa."
