Robert Burch (broken leg), Jamie O'Hara (stress fracture, ankle) and Simon Dawkins (hernia) all returned in the friendly to mark the official opening of Harlow's Barrows Farm ground.
It was goalkeeper Burch's first match action since breaking his leg in the Barclays Reserve League Play-Off Final against Manchester United at Old Trafford last May, O'Hara was back after a two-month lay-off and Dawkins six weeks out.
The evening worked out well for all three as Burch made a couple of fine saves in his 45-minute stint while O'Hara and Dawkins scored two goals each. O'Hara was also involved in another two goals as Andy Barcham, Charlie Daniels, Stuart Lewis and Kieran McKenna joined him on the scoresheet.
Development coach Clive reflected: "We went about it in the right way, got off to a good start, scored some quality goals and the confidence was there for all to see.
"It was important for the lads coming back from injury and great to see Burchy back between the sticks - his handling was excellent.
"We've spoken about it and these games are ideal when there is a gap between the fixtures because no matter what you do on the training ground, you can't quite re-create a match situation. With that in mind, it was a very worthwhile exercise.
"There's a real buzz about the group at the moment, a lot of competition for places and that's what you want to see."
Clive Allen was delighted to see three key players from his reserve set-up back in action after injury as our Spurs XI beat Harlow Town 8-0 on Monday night.
