Thomson winners' trip of a lifetime in DC

Posted on 22 May 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Two unknown faces joined the team on our end of season trip to Washington, DC, last week - and had the time of their lives.

Spurs fans James and Colin Boyle were the lucky winners of a dream holiday in association with our main sponsors Thomson.

The pair entered the competition in the Evening Standard to travel to Washington with the team, stay in their hotel and VIP tickets to our match against DC United for the Capital Cup.

Despite our 1-0 defeat, both James and Colin had a fantastic trip according to Colin, who told us: "James and I are still on cloud nine and would therefore again like to express our sincere thanks to you, the players, the management and staff for the kindness and hospitality extended to us both during the trip to Washington last week.

"Everyone connected with the Club certainly made us feel part of the team and having spent four days with the squad and the coaching staff we are encouraged that things can only get better for Spurs next season.

"It was truly a most memorable occasion for us and something that will never be forgotten.

"We’ve not been Season Ticket Holders before but we’ll certainly be sending in an application now."
