We are delighted to announce that we have extended our sponsorship agreement with Thomson Holidays for a further two years.
Both parties have enjoyed an excellent relationship and the deal, which started in July 2002, will see Thomson as our main sponsor through to the end of the 2005/06 season.
Chairman Daniel Levy announce the extension at the Club's AGM this afternoon and was very pleased the relationship would continue: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with Thomson for a further two years.
"Not only does the sponsorship align the Club with a leading brand, it gives genuine benefits to our business and our loyal supporters. This extension is testament to the hard work that has gone in to leveraging the sponsorship."
Chris Mottershead, managing director of Thomson agreed: "We have built an excellent relationship with Spurs since the sponsorship began.
"Football is a phenomenally popular sport and its appeal is becoming increasingly widespread. Despite historically being a male sport, it is now also the country's top female sport with an upsurge of women and girls playing and watching the game.
"The sponsorship has expanded where people see the Thomson name and has increased public awareness for the brand through the TV and press exposure.
"Tottenham Hotspur is a very prestigious football club, which has a vast and dedicated fan base whose loyalty mirrors that of Thomson customers."
In addition to shirt sponsorship for the men's and women's teams and heavyweight branding at White Hart Lane, other collaborative initiatives formed part of the original agreement such as all Spurs Season Ticket Holders and Club Members receiving a discount on holiday's booked with Thomson.
These have been expanded for the new deal as Thomson and Spurs have teamed up to offer FA qualified football coaching for children in holiday resorts during summer 2004 in three hotels in the Algarve, Majorca and Ibiza for children aged 5-12.
Chris Mottershead believes the coaching will add significant value to the Thomson holiday experience: "The partnership with Spurs has been very effective and we're always looking at how we can make it even better for Spurs fans and Thomson customers alike.
"By offering football coaching in resorts we are broadening the range of experiences available to children on holiday. The coaching sessions will complement the children's clubs and sports activities already on offer at these hotels."
