The flying full-back took his 2015-16 form onto the international stage over the summer and while England disappointed at the European Championships, it’s fair to say Kyle’s performances were one of the highlights.
One of our longest-serving players having joined in 2009, Kyle’s focus is firmly on 2016-17 and the big opening day at Everton on Saturday week.
“The summer has gone quickly with the Euros, a short break with the family and suddenly we’re back into preparing for the new season,” said Kyle, who now has 190 appearances for us in all competitions.
“It’s a job we all love and I wouldn’t change that for the world. In fact it’s not a job, it’s a passion and I love it to bits.
“I don’t wake up thinking ‘I don’t want to go to work today’. It’s a pleasure to be here and we’re all excited for the start of the season.”
