To get you in the mood for tonight’s FA Cup Third Round Replay at Reading, we’ve dug out some notable moments from years gone by at this stage of the competition….

2007 Aaron Lennon scores his first ever FA Cup goal in last season’s 4-0 victory over Cardiff City at White Hart Lane

1994 Having held us to a 1-1 draw at London Road, a brave Peterborough side stood firm again at the Lane, meaning the tie went to a penalty shoot-out – our first in the FA Cup and the first seen at White Hart Lane since our 1984 UEFA Cup success against Anderlecht. We eventually won the shoot-out 5-4.

1980 Injury to our goalkeeper Milija Aleksic meant Glenn Hoddle had to take a turn between the sticks against Manchester United at Old Trafford. An extra-time Ossie Ardiles goal sent us through.

1970 Jimmy Greaves struck twice in a 5-0 victory over Bradford City at White Hart Lane, but little did we know that they were to be the last Cup goals he scored in a Spurs shirt

1965 It had been a long time in coming, but we finally won an FA Cup game for the first time since lifting the trophy three years earlier with a 5-1 success over Torquay United at White Hart Lane.
