THFC Golf Day

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Frank Arnesen helped his team to glory in another successful Tottenham Hotspur Golf Day on Monday.

Our Sporting Director, handicap 11, was part of the Darren Rockman team that took the team prize in the event at Woolston Manor Golf Club with 91 points. His fellow members were Darren Rockman, Robert Godfrey and Simon Berg.

Vauxhall (Paul Adler, Simon Gates, Nick Hill, Nick Ratcliff) were second in the team even on 87 points with Creative Print (Brian Aislabie, Clive Jakes, Simon Dickens, Sean Musson) third on 80.

Lane legend Pat Jennings - also a bit of a legend on the golf course - won the Nearest The Pin award on the fifth hole while John Leonard of Premier Design took the Longest Drive on the 12th.

In the afternoon's 'top golf' (hitting balls to targets), Jermain Defoe led the players home.

The team prize went to Sol Services (Stan Thurston, Barry Thurston, Nigel Burdett), with Vauxhall second and UBS (Bill Chard, Lee Collins, Chris Newport) in third.

Our director of corporate hospitality and golf day organiser Mike Rollo was delighted with the event.

"The weather tried to dampen the day but everyone was in high spirits," he said. "It was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion."
