WE COULDN'T SEEM to get started against Manchester City in the first half, maybe we were playing too many short passes and taking too long on the ball - all the type of things that don't make for a cohesive display.
Once we changed it round a little bit at the break we probably developed a bit more space. Unfortunately, with Darren Anderton being sore, having to change Mauricio Taricco along with the deficiencies in the first half, we had no option.
I think Michael Brown and Simon Davies enjoyed that greater space in midfield to get the ball into the front players and, as a result, the midfield was more productive in the second period and the combined play of the two strikers, I think, was good.
Okay, we may have missed one or two chances - but so did Manchester City in the last ten minutes. We fully deserved a draw I think, without playing outstandingly well. We got a bit of rhythm in the second period after that poor first half.
I was pleased with the strikers, I have to say. I think goals will come because, if their movement is good and they are working with each other, then things happen for strikers.
Helder Postiga missed one or two, but he is going to score - no question. I thought they had a fairly good understanding.
