We will be going to Old Trafford with bags of confidence having beaten our north London rivals Arsenal 5-1 in Tuesday’s semi-final, but now we face another massive test.
Our Head Coach knows United will be refreshed following their week-long break from competitive action, so he has stressed the importance of putting Tuesday’s result out of our minds and re-focusing.
He said: “I’m hoping the effect of Tuesday will be very positive from the perspective that we’ve gone into a cup tie against a good side and got a victory.
“The Manchester United game will be a perfect barometer as to the amount of confidence that result has given us.
“We need to get through to the next round of the FA Cup now, and although we know how difficult it will be, we’re going into it in a positive frame of mind.
“We’re the visiting side and United have had a rest during the week, so we’ve got to be focused on this game.
“I enjoy cup competitions when we win, and over the last few years I’ve had good results in them, but it’s very hard when you lose those matches.”
