The lads finally got back out on the training pitches at Spurs Lodge on Monday

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The lads finally got back out on the training pitches at Spurs Lodge on Monday.

The groundstaff cleared the main pitch at the training ground in the morning and after a session with the Academy and development squad - all those not taking part in the FA Youth Cup - with Alex Inglethorpe and Clive Allen, the first team got underway at 1pm.

It was a lengthy session as well with plenty of running mixed in with ball work and a full-sided game over a slightly smaller-sized pitch.

HEURELHO GOMES just couldn't resist it.

Xtra was there, grafting away, minding our own business and taking pictures of training when the goalkeepers - Gomes, Ben Alnwick, Jimmy Walker and Oscar Jansson - finished their session with Tony Parks.

First up, Jimmy took a cheap shot with a snowball (it missed) and then Gomes took some, well, how can we describe them, er, 'interesting/artistic' shots - with the Xtra camera.

Gomes saw Xtra snapping away and fancied taking a few himself.

Concerned that he might not get to grips with what is a quite complicated camera - not least with goalkeeping gloves on - Xtra offered a few tips but Gomes was adamant. "No problems," he said. "I've got one just like it."

Xtra's suspicions were aroused somewhat when he started walking backwards (as opposed to using the zoom lens) but nevertheless, we awaited a couple of masterpieces as the photos downloaded.

Xtra doubts Gomes' efforts will find their way into the Tate Gallery, but 10 out of 10 for trying.

The 'best' of the bunch are below...
