Paul Robinson feels Michael Dawson is growing in stature as his partnership with Ledley King continues to blossom.

The central defender was named man of the match by Sky Sports after an outstanding performance in last week's 2-0 win at Birmingham City.

Michael, still only 22, has started 25 of our 30 games in the Premiership this season. "Daws and Ledley were outstanding and that partnership is growing by the week," stated Robbo.

"Daws is one of the most underrated players outside the club - everyone inside the club knows what he can do - but the way he's playing he'll soon get that recognition.

"I see Daws as very similar to John Terry in that he'll stick his head on everything, throw himself in to block everything and has a never-say-die attitude. He'll go a long way in the game."

Chris Hughton echoes Paul's thoughts. "We're delighted with the relationship Michael has struck up with Ledley and that comes down to the amount of games they've played each other," said coach and first assistant Chris.

"When Michael came to the club he missed the first three or four weeks through injury but since then he's been very consistent with the games he's played.

"That consistency has helped him and we're seeing the benefits of that. He's very good in the air and I thought he was outstanding at Birmingham as well."
