The Kappa Cup

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

We are pleased to announce that we will be taking part in the inaugural Kappa Cup next month, a four-team tournament which takes place in Seville, Spain.

The competition will be held between August 3-5 and our involvement in the event is part our ongoing excellent relationship with Kappa, our technical sponsors.

It is envisaged that the playing squad that will travel to Seville for this tournament will be drawn from all levels within the professional playing staff at the club and this will be announced nearer the date.

The clubs taking part in the event are four of Kappa’s main sponsored teams and we will be competing for the Kappa Cup with hosts Real Betis, Dutch giants Feyenoord and Partizan Belgrade from Serbia-Montenegro.

Betis are one of the most popular clubs in Spain and finished ninth in last season’s La Liga, while Feyenoord of Rotterdam were winners of the UEFA Cup in 2001 and ended last season in third place in the Dutch League. Partizan Belgrade were runners-up in the Serbian League last season and will play in this year’s UEFA Cup.

The Kappa Cup will be held over a three-day period and the structure of the tournament will involve two semi-finals, in which the respective winners will proceed to play a final to determine who will win the first ever Kappa Cup. The losers of each semi-final will play in a third/fourth place play-off.

Ticket details for the tournament will be announced shortly.
