MIDDLESBROUGH was a very exciting game of football and in hindsight you can say we did well but if you concede goals without having a lot of pressure you have to say our defending wasn't good enough.

After scoring three goals away from home you should win and to concede three goals is very uncharacteristic for us.

For the first goal someone was spare on the edge of the box and then Morrison cut in from the right for the second, we had enough players to stop him but he still had a shot with his left foot. If you are leading in an away game you should defend better so hopefully we'll learn from that, we'll certainly talk about it this week.

The positive thing is that we came back twice and that shows good mental and physical strength and character.

Jermaine Jenas scored his third goal for us and that's exactly what we needed. I think it's fair to say that we weren't known for our goalscoring record outside the strikers. It's a big plus that Michael Carrick, Edgar Davids and Jermaine have all scored. Ledley King also has three goals now. If you don't score from other areas you won't achieve anything.
