Martin Jol offers his final, reflective views on the narrow loss against Manchester United.

IN HINDSIGHT its always good if youve played a decent game at United and Alex Ferguson praised us afterwards. We did well but that is the only positive I can take out of it.

We didnt give away a lot before the free-kick that led to their goal, but its the minor things coming to the surface. You have to be a team, to talk to each other and if you have a free-kick against 30 yards out someone has to be in front of the ball. Its the same little things that we had against Bolton and Everton, that was the biggest disappointment to be honest.

I thought it was a good performance because we created four or five good opportunities and they never usually give chances away at Old Trafford.

We have to build on that, stay positive and remain tight as a group with spirits high. We are still working on getting the right blend in midfield and I know we have quality enough to go out and get results.

We had a number of new players in at Old Trafford plus Ledley King coming back. Berbatov was injured but Mido came in and he wants to do well for us. I thought Chimbonda and Ghaly did well, that is positive. But we cant wait “ we need results.

I just think if we could have had more self-belief in the first half against United we could have done better. The crowd saw that they had a game on their hands and we couldnt take advantage of that. That was disappointing. I know the reasons, I can analyse the players and we will get it right.
