Martin Jol gives his final reflections on the goalless draw against Aston Villa at the Lane...

LOOKING back at Villa it was bit disappointing because we normally score goals at the Lane but on this occasion we didn’t manage it.

After the game people asked me if I was frustrated but that would be the wrong word because we did everything.

We knew it would be different because we had to play from the back all of the time.

We had to look to maintain possession and we did that well and created five or six chances.

Villa have only lost once away from home since September and they are very organised.

Having said that Teemu Tainio had three chances and their keeper did well, he showed great class and quality but you have to score goals, that’s the thing.

Still, we lacked a little physical presence and Grzegorz Rasiak came on and I think the supporters did well for him, he’s a Spurs player and he showed it. I was pleased with him but not with the result, a draw is not enough.

I think you have to win your home games and I said that before the game. We had confidence because it’s a long time since we lost a game at home – Chelsea are the only team to beat us, twice, in the last 13 months.

The only thing is we could have made a gap with Arsenal - that was disappointing.
